Lincoln

Lincoln is a great American car maker that has been put through many challenges over the years. Lincoln has some of the best luxury vehicles around and can only be described as that way. They have had many years to make every detail perfect in their vehicles. They have also started and ended many trends of the car world. Many of their cars have been used by heads of state as well as the President of the United States and by many other celebrities. These cars can be for all types of people though and they try to make some of the best luxury for the greatest number of people to buy. The reason that this company has been so successful is because of its history, the cars it offers and the service it provides.

Lincoln’s history is long and it has many details that change within a short period of time. The company was started in 1917 by Henry Leland; he was previously an auto parts maker in another factory. The reason he named the company Lincoln was because his favorite president was Abraham Lincoln. The company wouldn’t have a lot of time to grow before being bought by Ford in 1922. With this buyout the company was able to do many things that they never before could have done. They created some of the premier vehicles for the average man to buy. The Zephyr was the first of the innovative vehicles.

At one point 80 percent of all vehicles that Lincoln sold were Zephyrs; this must tell you something about these cars. They were revolutionary in the sense that everyone had to have one of these new vehicles because they were so glamorous and had such a powerful impact on the way we thought of cars. The vehicles that Lincoln produced always had some sort of key factor that made them standout of the bunch. For example, in the 1940’s one of the coolest things to have on a car was “suicide doors” or doors that opened the other way. These vehicles just made everyone’s mind race to what they thought would come next.

From that point on in the 40’s the American people had to have these cars. There was just something about them. Many other vehicles would be produced and would have much of a similar effect on the population. Some of these vehicles were apart of the Mark series along with the infamous SUV makings. With all of the new innovations and the trend gravitating towards bigger vehicles with a bigger kick Lincoln made a bold move by making larger vehicles such as the Lincoln Navigator. Although it would seem like they would have to decrease making luxury vehicles to make this move, but they didn’t. They merely put the luxury into the SUVS. Now it is early into the 21st century and they are continuing to have great progress into what vehicles they want to make next.

The vehicles that Lincoln is producing are some of innovation and imagination. They have the new MKS that looks great and still has that classy feel of all their other cars. One of the other big choices is the Lincoln Navigator. This vehicle is big enough for a whole family and can also contain the luxury of all the other vehicles that are being made. These cars are great because they are a mixture of performance, luxury, and innovation. Lincoln has been putting a lot more investment into the technology of tomorrow for the vehicles of today.
